Dr. Marion Nestle, author of Soda Politics
The grand dame of food politics is back, and this time she’s taking on the soda industry. In her new book, Soda Politics, JBF Award winner and renowned public health advocate Marion Nestle tackles the kings of carbonation, detailing the myriad ways the soft drink industry has snuck its products into our day-to-day diets, and the steps we can take to become more conscious consumers of what we put in our cups, and in our bodies.
Enlightened Eaters is an educationally minded series of readings, workshops, discussions, and other programs focusing on health, nutrition, sustainability, and environmental issues. There is no charge to attend. Snacks and refreshments will be provided by the Natural Gourmet Institute.
